Creamed Pears Topping

Creamed Pears Topping

1/3 cup raw cashews

1 tsp vanilla extract

3½ cups (28 oz) canned pears (unsweetened)



Drain off juice and reserve. Place all ingredients into blender. Blend until very smooth, adding small amounts of reserved juice as needed to desired consistency. Could also substitute canned peaches or frozen thawed strawberries for the pears. Makes a great topping for waffles, granola, desserts, etc.
