Oat Granola Bars

Oat Granola Bars

2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups rolled oats
2/3 cup chopped nuts
2 Tb flax meal
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
2 cups chopped dates
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup applesauce
1/3 cup canola oil
2/3-1 cup water

Combine all ingredients in bowl. Mix well until the dough sticks together, kneading it into a ball. Roll out dough on sprayed cookie sheet. Cut into strips approximately 3/4"x3". Prick each strip with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
